IMPORTANT SITE UPDATE: For some time now Mazda RX News was unable to bring you the latest in Mazda News and Rotary News because of a malware attack on our site. Because of this our site was on temporary ban from most search engines. Thankfully, we have resolved the issue. Google has reviewed our site and deemed it, “healthy”. The Mazda Kiyora is a light-weight urban compact concept car designed by Mazda to represent “water”. This new design follows the recently devised, “Nagare” or “Flow” design theory. The idea is to craft an automobile that harmonizes with the rest of creation. “Kiyora” is Japanese for, “Clean & Pure” and this idea is well-represented throughout the design, including the next-generation direct-injected four-cylinder Mazda engine which boasts, “good fuel economy and low emmissions.” Now, that’s good news for everyone!
One of the most aesthetically entertaining features of this new concept is the roof and side areas which are semi-transparent to allow those within to experience the outside world from the safety and comfort of their Kiyora. The rear tails are worth metioning as well and go ahead and have a look at the interior as best you can. (Click any picture to see a larger version.)
